To Our Patients,

We hope this letter finds you and your family safe and in good health. Our community, our families and friends, have been through so much the past couple months. We are all so ready to return to our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to providing excellent dental care, in a safe environment.

Infection control is nothing new for us at Shrewsbury Family Dentistry. Maintaining your safety and following infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have been a mainstay for our practice for almost three decades. We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agency mentioned above.

You will see some changes when you come in for your next appointment. These changes have been made to help protect our staff and you, our patient. Below are some examples :

  • Pre-appointment phone call and screening questions

Our office will communicate with you the day before your appointment. We will ask you screening questions to ensure you are healthy and safe to come in. These same questions will be asked when you arrive for your appointment.

  • Please stay in your car when you arrive for your appointment

In an effort to avoid unnecessary human contact, we will have you call us from your car before you come in for your appointment so that we can eliminate any paths crossing. 

  •  Your temperature will be taken as part of the pre-screening process

 If you do present with an elevated temperature, you will be asked to reschedule.

  • Patients will not be allowed to enter the building if they are not wearing a mask

  • Reception area limited to 3 socially-distant guests at a time

We ask that you please leave family members or friends that do not have a dental appointment at home. This does not apply to patients who require special assistance or minors. However, we ask that any patients who need to be accompanied only have one person join them. 

  • Limited appointment times 

Because we are trying to maintain a socially-distant space, we will only be offering a limited number of appointments per day.
